Role Summary and Purpose

You will drive the production release of advanced power products that utilize our innovative MEMS ohmic switch technology.  In this role you will be the lead engineer ensuring technical attainment of all qualification requirements, including characterization and reliability testing, and drive the timely release-to-production.  You will be a core member of the New Product Introduction Team (NPI) and work across the entire company organization. 

You will directly impact critical roadmaps and support new technology developments.  Projects will encompass characterization, packaging, thermal / mechanical considerations, assembly, test strategy, test software and hardware development, data analysis, reliability testing, root cause problem solving, and technical dispositioning.

Essential Responsibilities

This is a hands-on role and key responsibilities include: 

  • Characterization and reliability stress testing of both die and module level products. 
  • Timely qualification and production launches.
  • Data analysis, dispositions, and associated reports.
  • Development and deployment of comprehensive test capabilities that ensure compliance to spec.
  • Drive advancements in DFT and DFM methodologies.
  • Work with the technology team to enhance and validate new technologies, device structures, and design rules.
  • Provide feedback into next gen product specifications and development.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of device characterization and qualification requirements.
  • Experience with test and test systems for high power devices.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, deploy, and debug test capabilities.
  • Experience using sound DOE practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate, find root cause, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Working knowledge of statistical data analysis tools and object-oriented programming languages (ex: JMP, Python, VBA, etc.).
  • BS or MS in electrical engineering with a minimum 5 years of experience. 
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
