Role summary and purpose:

You'll be working with cutting edge technology and making a real impact to the company! We are looking for a motivated intern for a minimum of 8-10 weeks, and possibly longer.

Working under the supervision of our senior power systems applications engineers, you will:

  • Help engineers perform electrical testing and characterization of power relay prototype boards in support of Menlo customers. (From 120V to 240V, AC and DC, from 10A to 30A).
  • Help to design/simulate/layout the next round of power subsystems using Menlo’s Ideal Switch technology.
  • Work with senior applications engineers and marketing resources to evaluate different applications for Menlo’s smart power relay products.
  • Assist in the specification of product definition and requirements in collaboration with design and development personnel, as well as customer application collaterals including application notes, datasheets, user guides, etc.

Qualifications and requirements:

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

  • Experience working with benchtop lab equipment, such as power supplies, oscilloscope, current probes, etc.
  • Ability to design small PCBs using KiCad or other open source schematic/layout software.
  • Ability to work with LabWindows CVI, C, C#, Python.
  • Ability to utilize collaboration tools such as Office/Git.
  • Ability to utilize LTSPICE.
  • Ability to work in an ESD Safe Laboratory Years Experience: 0+ (must be U.S. Citizen or have permanent residence status) Degree Program: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
