Role Summary/Purpose

As an entry level product engineer, you will be primarily responsible for generating the systems and programs providing automation of lot disposition and yield/characterization report. Your role will rapidly evolve as your knowledge of the product/process grows with expectation that you can assume responsibility for yield, cost and product improvement for specific products. You will be developing expert-level knowledge of Menlo’s Ohmic MEMS switch technology and have significant exposure to Design, Process, Test, and Quality engineering challenges.

Major duties include:

Data verification and test result validation
Process variation and control monitoring/problem-solving
Product validation and performance
monitoring/assessment Failure mode detection and containment including RMA/FA analysis
Application support; ensuring product functionality conforms with datasheet specifications

Essential Responsibilities

Work in a team environment to support operations team with analysis and automation.
Interest in learning and involvement in for a unique and disruptive technology imbedded in Menlo Micro’s product line.
Able to work in an operations environment where challenges are time-critical, and contributions have a direct impact on business results.

Qualifications/Requirements

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with focus in Electronic circuits from an accredited university with minimum 5 years of professional RF and MEMS experience
Proven ability to be a technical lead of a design project and work independently with internal and external customers
Experience delivering full engineering reports
In depth understanding of RF and EM theory and design up to 18GHz
Experience in MEMS or Semiconductor device fabrication and/or packaging
Demonstrated ability to design, simulate and characterize MEMS devices
Proficiency with HFSS, ADS, or other similar RF EM simulation platform
Experience with RF package technologies
Experience using sound DOE practices with device design and characterization
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Willingness to travel up to 20% of time
Excellent communication skills.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Irvine, CA

Desired Characteristics

PhD in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university with minimum 2 years of professional RF and MEMS experience
Industrial experience in MEMS device design, operation, theory, and simulation
Critical problem solving with innovative solutions
PCB Design and Layout
Experience with 3D FEM mechanical simulation to optimize structure design
Experience with RF device test and test systems
Experience developing RF process design toolkits
Demonstrated ability to investigate, find root cause, and correct actions of device failures
